Central Florida is home to several incredible organizations working tirelessly to support individuals and families without stable housing. Whether it's through crisis shelters, rapid rehousing programs, or long-term support, these resources are lifelines for so many in need.
Below, we’re highlighting local shelters in Central Florida that serve women, children, and families- along with the ways you can support or access these resources.
💜 1. Harbor House of Central Florida

Support Focus: Domestic violence survivors
Harbor House is a state-certified domestic violence shelter providing safety and stability for women, children, and men fleeing abusive situations. Their services include:
- 24-hour crisis hotline
- Emergency counseling
- A 110-bed secure shelter
- Legal advocacy and pet sheltering
This shelter is a vital refuge for survivors seeking to reclaim their lives in a safe, supportive space.

Pathlight HOME has helped more than 7,000 of our homeless neighbors through their "housing first" philosophy They focus on:
- Three supportive housing programs
- FREE 12-week Culinary Training Program.
- Permanent supportive housing for former chronically homeless, disabled adults.
Through additional programs and resources, Pathlight Home offers a wrap around environment for helping those in need find a place to call home.
